The Strathfieldsaye Dodgers hosted the Wangaratta Rangers for the inaugural Beyond Blue Country Baseball Cup.
Both teams couldn't be more thrilled with how the day unfolded and moving forward the plan is to get even more clubs involved.
"There was an overwhelmingly great response from the clubs, sponsors and spectators at our first running of the competition," Bendigo Baseball Association president Anthony Amsing said.
"The atmosphere was fantastic as it was the first time we'd played competitive baseball in around 18 months.
"There was a great sense of achievement in raising awareness on mental health and in total approximately $3,000 was raised on the day for Beyond Blue."
The Rangers were able to finish the game on top of the Dodgers and have claimed bragging rights for 2021.
"Great game by all and we're happy to make the trip to Wangaratta next year and hopefully with more teams on board," Amsing said.
