Coach Paul Benetti said the Saints would welcome more top-age players with open arms.
"I know we're not the only club in the region struggling for under-18s, but if we don't get some more players in the next few weeks then we're in danger of not fielding a side,'' he said.
"That's not a good situation for our club or the league. Each club already has two byes for the season and if we drop out that will be four byes.
"At the moment we have three top-age players and then about 12 or 13 14-year-olds. We don't want to throw those young players to the wolves.
"It's not about winning, it's about participating and making sure our under-18s don't fold.
"If BFNL clubs have any extra under-18 players we'd love to talk to them about playing for Heathcote."

Benetti said the Saints would assist Bendigo-based players with travel arrangements to Heathcote.
"We'll sort out the logistics,'' he said.
"We know there's some kids out there that would love to have a kick of the footy. It's not too late to get a game.
"If you want a game of footy, we'd love to talk to you."
The Saints train Tuesday and Thursday nights at Barrack Reserve in Heathcote.

Heathcote's first game for 2021 is on April 10 at home against Lockington-Bamawm United.
