POLICE have urged Bendigo drivers to take care, as traffic floods back onto the road after Victoria's snap lockdown ended.
The warning came after a two car crash at the intersection of Napier and Nolan streets, about 5pm.
Bendigo Highway Patrol Senior Constable Levina Bell said a Ford Falcon turning right from Napier Street onto Nolan Street had failed to give way to a Toyota Corrolla travelling north.
The Ford Falcon had been travelling south on Napier Street, turning right onto the west of Nolan Street.
Other news:
Senior Constable Bell said the driver had not seen the oncoming car because of a car waiting in the intersection to turn right onto the east of Nolan Street.
An 18-year-old passenger in the Ford Falcon was taken to hospital for observation after the crash.
Senior Constable Bell said an infringement notice would be issued to the driver of the Ford Falcon.
She urged people to slow down on the road with traffic back after Victoria's snap lockdown, saying drivers had been impatient.
"People just need to be aware now that there's traffic back on the road, they need to slow down and take their time," Senior Constable Bell said.
"We've seen today the amount of traffic compared to what we haven't had in the past five days."
5.50pm
Ambulance Victoria said one person was taken to hospital.
Their exact injuries weren't known at this stage, but they were said to be in a stable condition.
5.45pm
Police and fire services are clearing the intersection.
The crashed cars have been loaded on to tow trucks for removal.
Traffic is moving freely through the area.
