A group of 26 athletes from Athletics Bendigo Region will compete at Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park on Friday night and across Saturday and Sunday.
Action starts at 6pm on Friday and continues on Saturday and Sunday from 9am.
Eaglehawk has many in with a strong chance of claiming a medal.
Stars for the Two Blues include Kye Mason, under-20 100m; James Bentley, under-18 100m and 400m; Olivia Graham, open hammer; Jorja Morrison, under-16 100m and triple jump; and Hunter Staples in the under-18 high jump.
Bentley will be aiming to break the 50-second mark in the 400m.
Graham hurled the hammer more than 46 metres at last month's country titles in Ballarat.
South Bendigo's squad will be led by reigning national shot put champion Emma Berg.
A mark of 13.65 metres by Berg earned gold at the country titles.
Victorious in the under-20 heptathlon at AV's multi-events run in Bendigo, Abbey Hromenko will be aiming to match or surpass a best of 1.57m which won gold at last month's country titles.
Other athletes to watch in the red and white are Taryn Furletti, under-20 3000m steeple; Teleah Hayes, open 1500m; and Logan Tickell in the under-16 1500m.
In-form athletes from Bendigo Harriers include Abbey Conquer, under-18 100m and 400m; Jake Gavriliadis, under-16 shot put; Caitlin Evans, under-17 400m; David Morrissey, open 100m; and Liam Shadbolt, under-15 high jump and triple jump.
A leap of 1.83m at high jump by Shadbolt at his latest hit-out in Bendigo broke the Centre record for the under-15 and under-14 age groups.
Shepparton's squad bound for Lakeside includes Antonio Vaitohi, under-20 100m; and Glenn McMillan, open 1500m.
