Under the guidance of the Tigers' recently appointed senior women's coach Phil Hawkes, the club is developing a three-year plan which will be used to continue the development of its players.
"We will be having some club meetings soon to look at structures for the next three years," Hawkes said.
"You can't develop things over night, as good things must be planned and done properly."
Hawkes comes to the Tigers with plenty of previous experience at Sunbury as both a coach and president, in addition to having been player with Kyneton years ago.
He grew up in the area and relocated back to Kyneton a few years ago and when he saw the advertisement for the coaching position, he knew it was the perfect opportunity.
"I loved the idea of being involved with the club as they are moving forward and have great ideas for the future," he said.
Hawkes already has his own ideas on how he will tackle his new role as coach of the Tigers' senior women.
"My preferred style of coaching is an attacking and running game where as a team we will develop processes and structures," he said.
"I believe it's essential for each player to understand their own individual role but more broadly what the team is trying to achieve."
The Tigers haven't wasted anytime this year and have been hard at work during the pre-season.
The players attended a pre-season camp where they focused on fundamental skills in addition to team development activities.
They have also been holding training sessions each week on Wednesday evenings, with new players welcome to come and try.
The season-proper is only a few weeks away and this year will be the biggest CVFLW competition ever.
The Bendigo Thunder is making a return to the league after being one of the first teams in the competition's inaugural 2018 season.
In addition, Kerang is making its league debut after missing out on the 2020 CVFLW season due to the pandemic.
"With Kerang coming into the competition this year as well as the Thunder returning, it really solidifies how much women's football is growing," Hawkes said.
"Everyone is getting behind it."
The competition includes Bendigo Thunder, Kerang, Eaglehawk, North Bendigo, Kyneton, Kangaroo Flat, Strathfieldsaye and reigning premiers Golden Square (2019).
