Mask return uproar
What an absolute joke! Why should we be restricted in regional Victoria - where there has been no cases for many months.

I can't wait for the next round of state elections, which I hope gets rid of an ugly mob of control freaks.

Time to do the right thing
It was excellent, last week, to see refugees finally allowed to leave hotel detention in Melbourne after more than a year of lockdown.
Mr Dutton explained, "If they're demonstrated not to be a threat, ... that is the assessment that has been made by the experts, then it is cheaper for people to go out into the community until they can depart."
Someone should perhaps explain to Mr Dutton that this is also true regarding the hundred or so people detained in hotels in Adelaide, Brisbane, and Darwin.
And even more could be saved, if Mr Dutton allowed the little Tamil family to return their Biloela community who want them back - both children were born there, in Queensland.
They have been detained for almost three years in immigration detention and are currently in detention on Christmas Island.
What a waste of their lives and our money.
Come on, Mr Dutton, do the right thing.

Total contempt
The past year has left many with a sense of hopelessness.
Anybody who has any idea where this country is going, can only see the LNP looking after themselves, because we are going nowhere, and have been for a long time.
Dealing with the pandemic, has not stopped the posturing that is taking place by Morrison, and clearly indicates that we are going to face another election later this year, barely two years since we trundled off to the last one.
One consistent theme that occurs time after time is the blatant alleged dishonesty dished out as news, when in fact it is nothing else than absolute BS.
The media is supposed to be " keeping the bastards honest" but nothing could be further from the truth.
The number of ministers caught out being just plain incompetent with issues such as Robo Debt, sports rorts, private aged care debacle, $30 million dollar land purchase valued at $3 million, the list goes on, but nothing happens is a blight on us as a society, and shows the absolute contempt that Morrison and his minister show to the Australian public.
The LNP have been in government for nearly eight years, and some of their behaviour has been deplorable.
If the media in this country is not going to scrutinize them in opposition or in government, what's the point of having elections at all.
Some want the terms to be extended to four years. I wouldn't give them four months.
