The two-day meet, hosted by Flack Advisory Services Group-sponsored Athletics Bendigo Region, includes the Australian Masters and Victorian Masters.
Action starts at 1pm on Saturday and from 9am on Sunday at the Retreat Road complex in Flora Hill.
Hromenko, 18, will contest her first state multis in the under-20s heptathlon.
Events on day one are sprint hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200m.
Day two involves long jump, javelin and 800m.
"To compete at the state multis was a season goal," Hromenko said.
"I have participated in a lot of the events at Shield meets, so I thought I would give the multis a go.
"It's a challenge I am looking forward to.
"The 800 will be the most difficult event for me, but my strengths are high jump and 100m hurdles, so I am looking to score a lot of points in those."
A best of 1.60 metres at high jump would score highly in a heptathlon.
"Hurdles have always been one of my strongest and favourite events since I started in Little Athletics in grade four."
Daughter and mother will be competing as Abbey Hromenko and Trudy Haines contest the under-20 and 50-54 years heptathlon respectively.
Both are coached by Peter Barrett.
"Athletics is always a lot of fun," Hromenko said.
"There is always competiveness, but enjoyment is really important."
The A-grade best and fairest for Elmore Football Netball Club in 2019, Hromenko will be aiming to be back as goal attack after no play last year.
The under-20s decathlon will be a great test for James Woods.
The pole vault champion cleared the 4.95m mark at the recent Zatopek 10 meeting to hold Bendigo's record for open and under-20 level.
Pole vault is on this weekend's 10-discipline showdown, along with 100m, long jump, shot put, high jump, 400m, 110m hurdles, discus, javelin and 1500m.
Woods has hurled the javelin past the 49m mark, leapt 1.94 at high jump and shown a lot of talent in the 100m and hurdles.
"Biggest test will be the 1500m. Last year's multis was the first time I had raced 1500."
The 400m and discus are not likely to be high-scoring but the Peter Barrett-coached athlete is not fazed by them.
"A long-term goal is to be a decathlete.
"At the moment, pole vault is what I have really focused on, but I love a challenge, such as multis."
Woods has also done some pole vault training under the tutelage of Mark Stewart as part of the AV Track Talent Program.
The Year 12 student at Bendigo Senior Secondary College spent a lot of last winter training at Fit Republic to increase his agility and strength.
