WYCHEPROOF-Narraport has retained all the recruits that it was set to unveil last year in what would have been a new-look Demons' side.
The Demons had been successful in securing a host of both new and former players returning to the club ahead of last year's 2020 North Central league season that ended up cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Demons had an arrival list of 12 players, with coach Mick Delaney this week confirming that the dozen have all re-committed to the club for this year - Boe Bish, Delaney, Sam Essex, Aaron Henneman, Kaleb Kennedy, Hadrian Prest, Jason Wood, Ryan Duncan, Lachlan Longmire, Mitch Curtis, Trevor Rumbold and Daniel Allan.
Bish and full-back Rumbold are both returning premiership players to the Demons, with gun half-back Bish a two-time winner of the NCFL's Des Darcy Medal as best on ground in the grand final (2017-18).
Bish also came out in the No.1 slot in the Addy's top 50-ranked NCFL players from 2012-19 last year.
Recruit Henneman, now 40, is a former 58-game player for Essendon between 2000 and 2005, while Lachlan Longmire is the nephew of Sydney Swans coach John Longmire.
As well as the dozen recruits staying on from last year, the Demons have also added forward Lachlan Allison, who kicked 42 goals for Wandella in 2019, plus Adal Zuk, who has impressed Delaney with his skill.
With the quantity of additions to their list, it will be very much a fresh-looking Demons team that runs out in round one this year from the last Demons' side that played on August 17, 2019, against Birchip-Watchem.
"The town is really excited that we've got some new blood coming into the club," Delaney said on Wednesday.
"As a whole, the community is really excited to have the football back this year given there was no season last year... there's a real excitement about getting back to support their teams on a Saturday and catch up with everyone."
The NCFL season will get under way on Saturday, April 10, with the Demons fixtured to play Charlton in round one.
