Alongside outdoor cinema sessions in January will be the region's Australia Day celebrations.
On January 15, the inaugural 5K Frenzy will be hosted by Bendigo Harriers at the Bendigo Athletics Track in Flora Hill.
As well as the five kilometre run, there will be musical entertainment from The Grinners and activites for the kids to do.

People participating in the run will have to pay a $20 entrance fee. Entries close on January 8.
Free outdoor cinema events will be held at the Garden for the Future on January 22 and 29.
The January 22 screening will be animated film Trolls: World Tour while family film Dolittle will feature on January 29. Both events start at 7pm.
Australia Day celebrations will be held in various suburbs around Bendigo along with the major event at Lake Weeroona hosted by the Rotary Club of Bendigo Sandhurst from 10am on January 26.
Events recognising Australia day are also planned for Maiden Gully, Axedale, Eaglehawk, Heathcote and Huntly.
Family events are being hosted at Golden Square and Goornong pools.
In February, music events are planned every Friday night from 6.30pm at the Garden for the Future in White Hills.
On February 5, the Erica Hawkey Band and The Grinners will kick off the series of free music events.
They will be followed by Midweek Blues Band and Sherri Parry on February 12, the Harlem Band and Mr Samsonite on February 19 and Iffy Pop and Clockwork Orange on February 26.
