In Bendigo at the weekend to make a cameo appearance for Strathfieldsaye in the Bendigo Bowls Division pennant competition, Flapper said Commonwealth Games gold medal winner Wilson was still to reach his peak.
"He might think he's reached his peak, but I don't think he has,'' Flapper said.
"You talk about (Scotland's) Alex Marshall being the best player in the world, but I think Aaron can certainly enter that equation as well.
"He has the talent to do it if he wants to do it. I'm really keen for him to pursue it and for him to get as much as he can out of it."
After the Christmas-New Year break, Flapper will play in the state championships in Warrnambool in early January and then the Bowls Premier League in Moama, where he will again team up with Wilson for the Melbourne Roys.
"I can't do it without Aaron Wilson beside me. I'm just the sidekick to the Aaron Wilson show,'' Flapper said with a chuckle.
"We went well at Moama last year where we were close, but no cigar. Hopefully, we can go one better and win it this time.
"It's exciting to play with Aaron. The whole region knows what sort of talent he has and what talent the whole family has."
Wilson, 29, burst on to the world scene when he won the 2016 World Junior Championships.
He also won the pairs gold medal with Brett Wilkie at the 2016 World Outdoor Bowls Championship before going on to win gold in the singles at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
He was selected to spearhead the Australian team at the 2020 World Championships on the Gold Coast, but the tournament was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event will now be held on the Gold Coast from May 25 to June 6 in 2021.
