Police are investigating the circumstances around the fatal crash early on Saturday afternoon.
Investigators believe a car towing a trailer was travelling along the Murray Valley Highway about 2.30pm when the driver lost control.
The car left the highway and crashed into a tree.

The driver of the car, believed to be a man in his 40s, died at the scene. He was the only occupant of the car.
