ELECTRICITY should be restored to central Victorian homes within about 20 minutes, supplier Powercor has said.
A spokesperson said crews were working to restore power after an underground cable fault in Bendigo this afternoon.
Thousands of homes across Bendigo and central Victoria are without power after the fault.

THOUSANDS of central Victorians are without electricity, after Powercor outages.
The outages stretch across Bendigo, east to Eppalock and south as far as Redesdale.
The cause of these outages is under investigation.
Strathdale, Junortoun, Kennington and Axedale are among the worst hit, with 913, 734, 307 and 306 customers without power respectively.
Outages have also hit East Bendigo, Quarry Hill, Golden Square, Redesdale and Mia Mia.
Powercor estimates electricity will be returned to homes about 6.30pm.
