VICTORIANS can expect to wear masks for the foreseeable future, according to the state government.
Bendigo East MP Jacinta Allan emphasised this at Victoria's daily COVID-19 briefing on Monday.
Ms Allan said low COVID-19 numbers - the state has recorded zero new cases three days in a row - were precious.
"We want to hold on to them," Ms Allan said.

Ms Allan said did not flag any changes to the next reopening roadmap step due at 11.59pm November 8.
The changes include the re-opening of the "ring of steel" between regional Victoria and Melbourne.

Victoria has recorded another day of zero coronavirus cases.
It marks the third consecutive day Victoria has not recorded a new COVID-19 cases.
Data from the Department of Health and Human Services shows metropolitan Melbourne's 14-day average to now be at 1.9 with one mystery cases since October 17.
Regional Victoria has a 14-day average of zero.
As of Sunday there were 61 active coronavirus cases in Victoria - all in metropolitan Melbourne.
No deaths were recorded in the latest DHHS data leaving Victoria with 819 lives lost to coronavirus.
Since the start of the pandemic, Victoria has recorded 20,346 COVID-19 cases.
