The Kangaroo Flat teenager became the first female to play second XI cricket in BDCA history in the Roos' clash with Sandhurst at Weeroona Oval.
Batting at number five, Nevins made 29 to be the Roos' second-top scorer behind Campbell Smith (93 not out).
Nevins faced 52 balls in her 48 minute stay at the crease and hit three boundaries.
"She was good. She protected her wicket really well and when we gave her a loose ball she put it away,'' Sandhurst coach and second XI captain Craig Howard said.
"I thought she acquitted herself really well. She moved well in the field and certainly didn't look out of place."
Nevins, who plays Victorian Women's Premier Cricket with Plenty Valley, added 62 for the fourth wicket with Smith.
"A lot of the girls who have been successful at the elite level have spent time playing against men,'' Howard, who has coached in Cricket Australia's elite pathway programs, said.
"Hopefully, down the track there's enough interest and participation that there's a really strong women's competition in the area.
"Until then I think the best way to go is to have female players test themselves against the men."
