The project will extend existing facilities, adding three classrooms and a staff room, build a performing arts come multipurpose centre and an outside school hours room.
An existing building will also be demolished, alongside a large landscaping project.
It comes as young families stream into the growth suburb, with the school's enrolments set to hit 500 - more than double the present 170 - within years.
Principal Russell Jeffrey said a whole range of new opportunities would open up with the new buildings.
"All of our classrooms will be 21st century learning centres which just enables a great deal of flexibility in these classrooms," he said.
"We've come from a point where we had lots of little buildings around on the site. This will bring everything together in a far more organised structure which is a lot easier to manage."
Mr Jeffrey said the development would accommodate the growth taking place in Marong.
He said other community groups would probably be able to use facilities such as the performing arts facility down the track.
OTHER NEWS:
Mr Jeffrey said the new facilities left a bit of room to accommodate the school's rapidly growing student body.
The school hopes to have the first three new classrooms ready for use by the start of term two, 2021. The project is due to be largely finished by the end of 2021.
Mr Jeffrey said the school would initially have a bit of extra space, to accommodate growth. He said portables remaining on site would also give a bit of scope for future enrolments.
