"The inner city properties were always typically generating high prices, but the fringe of the city is now joining them."
"A lot of grand period homes in central Bendigo that have been beautifully renovated are catching the eye of buyers, both local and from afar

Local buyers are flooding the market and showing a keen interest in premium real estate, Mr Tzouroutis said.
"The majority of these million dollar residential properties started to come on the market last year or two years ago," he said.
"A lot of enquiries are coming from not only out of town buyers, but locals as well."
Tweed Sutherland First National director Matt Leonard said transactions in excess of $2 million are being brokered in Bendigo.
"A lot of grand period homes in central Bendigo that have been beautifully renovated are catching the eye of buyers, both local and from afar," Mr Leonard said.
"As soon as Melburnians can get out of the city and look at regional real estate again, I believe there will be an influx of people wanting to relocate and give this market another push."
