Wind gusts of up to 100 kilometres per hour are expected across elevated parts of central Victoria on Sunday night.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a damaging winds warning.
⚠️ A Severe Weather Warning ⚠️for Damaging Winds has been issued for SUNDAY NIGHT. Winds will increase across elevated parts of the west late today and extend to central/eastern areas early Monday morning. "Winds will strengthen from the west late Sunday evening, extending to eastern parts of the warning area early Monday morning," the bureau said.
"Winds will ease rapidly from the west during Monday morning, dropping below warning threshold in the west in the early hours, and in the east later on Monday morning."
There was 6.8mm of rain recorded at Bendigo on Sunday morning after a rain band crossed the region overnight.
Further falls are forecast for each of the next few days.
