Figures from the Department of Health and Human Services show there are currently 21 active cases across the region, with nine of these in Greater Bendigo.
Macedon Ranges Shire accounts for eight of the current active cases, while there are three in Campaspe Shire and one in Central Goldfields.
This represents one less active case than Sunday for Greater Bendigo and the region, suggesting the person has recovered.
Greater Bendigo has now recorded no new cases of the virus for three days, and over the weekend, there were just two new cases in central Victoria overall.
Across Victoria there have been 73 new cases of coronavirus, the lowest daily increase since July 4.
Another 41 people were reported on Monday to have died from COVID-19, although 22 of these deaths occurred before August 27, and were only reported to the health department on Sunday.
Thirty-eight were linked to aged care.
