POWER has been returned to most of the affected homes around Bendigo.
There were still hundreds of homes without power in Bridgewater on Loddon about 10pm on Thursday, according to the Powercor website.
Dozens of properties in Bridgewater, Sebastian, and Campbells Forest were also still affected.

Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service was called out to more than 1600 jobs across the state on Thursday evening.
The main reason for the call outs were fallen trees, which accounted for about 1350 jobs.

HUNDREDS of more homes around Bendigo have been left without power on Thursday night.
Outages have extended to Eaglehawk, California Gully, Jackass Flat, Bridgewater, Inglewood, and Raywood.
Powercor is investigating the cause of the power outages.
The Powercor website did not have an estimated time for when power would be returned.

HUNDREDS of homes near Bendigo are without power on Thursday night as strong winds lash the region.
The Powercor website said 326 properties were without power in Lockwood and Lockwood South as a result of a fallen tree.
Dozens of customers in Marong and Shelbourne have also been affected.
The Powercor website did not have an estimated time for when power would be returned.

The bureau said winds would average between 60 to 70 km/h, with peak gusts of about 100 km/h, in areas above 600 metres elevation.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
- Be aware that trees that have been damaged by heat or fire may be unstable and more likely to fall when it is windy or wet
- Check that loose items such as outdoor settings, umbrellas and trampolines are safely secured and move vehicles under cover or away from trees
- Stay indoors and away from windows
- If outdoors, move to a safe place indoors. Stay away from trees, drains, gutters, creeks and waterways
- If driving conditions are dangerous, safely pull over away from trees, drains, low-lying areas and floodwater
- Avoid travel if possible
- Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees
- Stay away from fallen powerlines always assume they are live
There was also a chance of showers in parts of central Victoria on Thursday, increasing in likelihood further south.
