Tom Lynch has turned himself into public enemy number one.
Kieran Iles: : Tall poppy syndrome is alive and well in Australia.
In fact, no one does it better than AFL fans. The need to yank someone down is ever-present.
Albeit, Tom is doing himself, and his team-mates, no favours at the moment by putting himself in plenty of awkward situations.
Hopefully, a close call against the Suns - who I did pick to reach the finals a few weeks' back, but have since gone off the boil - is just the tonic for him to reset his focus.
With all that's going on, the race to the flag is becoming more and more of a slog, and the Tigers need Lynch focused and firing.
AB: Lynch's antics asisde, the Tigers are playing some good footy and, in my opinion, are one of four sides that can win the flag.
At this stage West Coast, Geelong, Port Adelaide and Richmond are the clear flag standouts, with the Eagles and Cats the top two seeds.
Jury out on Brisbane's ability to beat that quartet in a high-pressure final, the GWS have the talent but are as reliable as your horse racing tips and the other teams in or just outside of the top eight are simply not good enough.
KI: As a Tigers man, I'd fancy our chances against the Lions in 11 out of 10 contests. They haven't beaten us since Johnny Gastev was roaming the half back line (well, maybe the three-peat is a little more accurate).
Geelong look like they have really hit their straps of late, while I don't think anyone expects the Eagles to be anything but a contender while plying their trade in Perth.
Port Adelaide ... the jury's still out. Your Magpies looked bland and ordinary on the weekend?
My other favourite side's looking the goods. The Vixens move to 4-1 in Super Netball.
AB: Collingwood battling on the footy field and netball court. Unfortunately, the finals appear unlikely in both competitions.
The footballers are a shadow of their former selves. Some fans will point to the injury list, but there's more to it than that.
The handball happy game plan is infuriating and the injuries have exposed a lack of depth that is a major concern going forward.
