WORKSAFE is making inquires after a man was trapped in the back of a grain truck on Tuesday.
The man fell about two metres into the truck on Perrys Road in Bears Lagoon, north of Bendigo.
The man was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital on Tuesday evening in a serious but stable condition.
He was being treated for upper body injuries.
6.20pm
THE MAN has been airlifted to a Melbourne hospital after he was rescued.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the man had multiple injuries and was believed to be in a serious condition.
6.15pm
THE man has been released from the grain truck after he was trapped for almost three hours.
A Country Fire Authority spokesperson said crews were packing up and returning.
5.50pm
A MAN is being treated for multiple injuries after he fell into the back of a grain truck in Bears Lagoon, north of Bendigo.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the man is believed to be in a serious condition.
An air ambulance has been dispatched to the scene.

A MAN is trapped after he fell into the back of a grain truck in Bears Lagoon, north of Bendigo.
Paramedics were called to the incident in Perrys Road about 3.30pm on Tuesday.
The Country Fire Authority, Fire Rescue Victoria, and State Emergency Service were called about 4.30pm to assist with the rescue.

The incident is still not yet under control.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson could not provide any information about the man's condition or injuries.
But the spokesperson said an air ambulance had been sent to the scene.
