Mask up reminder
It is incredibly disappointing, even confronting, to see some people wandering about the streets and shops in Bendigo without masks on!

The number of active cases is surging now.
Come on folks - do make more of an effort to stop this virus in its tracks and keep one another safe by following the rules.
Everyone is responsible for this.

I think every single person should be questioned why they are travelling to/from Melbourne to Bendigo to determine whether it is really essential travel.
I have heard that some people travelling say sometimes they would not get questioned on their route either to or from Melbourne.
This would be easy to do as there is one route and the traffic shouldn't be as busy right now.
The road can be narrowed similar to a roadworks setup with barriers and LED signs.
The checkpoint could operate 24 hours a day.
A check point on both sides of the road to and from Melbourne would be beneficial.

Addy under fire
It looks like the Bendigo Advertiser is starting to achieve its plan of creating a public outcry and mayhem in trying to make the public believe that Bendigo is coming into a crisis with a wave of coronavirus set to engulf locals for the sake of selling more newspapers.
This could be seen as profiteering and backing an unproven system that will end up being the reason for Bendigo areas having the same stage 4 restrictions as Melbourne currently has.
Dan Andrews has admitted he will take all responsibilities from the outcome of his actions.
My question is, will the Bendigo Advertiser also take full responsibility in having marketed and set up the oncoming stage 4 restrictions which will absolutely cripple Bendigo and Loddon locals?
Shame on you.
You will have blood on your hands over this feeble attempt to sell more newspapers and it will backfire on you resulting in no more public trust or support from local advertisers.
Not a smart idea.
Stop being a political gazette.
