Golf Australia suggests that all golf clubs and facilities direct players, staff and volunteers to wear a face covering that remains on whilst on site, and if playing for the duration of the round..
Any person doesn't wear a mask when required, should be asked to leave the facility immediately, unless able to present a certificate or other proof of exemption.
"It is recommended that upon arrival all players are asked to wear a face covering and are asked to leave the facility immediately if they are not wearing a face covering, unless they are affected by a relevant medical condition," Golf Australia said.
Face coverings are allowed to be removed temporarily for the purpose of eating or drinking.
Those who are found to be in breach of the rules set by the Department of Health and Human Services may be fined $200 by Victoria Police.
Golf Australia is also seeking clarification from the Victorian government in relation to what impact impending level three restrictions will have on golf within regional areas.
"Golf Australia will provide further advice on the impact of these restrictions to clubs/facilities in Regional Victoria as soon as information is made available by the Victorian Government," GA said.
