Friday will be founder Tara Stojic's last day at the helm, before handing over to Luke Goodson.
The cafe has been on the market for more than a year.
Ms Stojic expected her departure to be the only short-term change to the business, having handed over her recipes as part of the deal.
Mr Goodson's short-term plans involved refreshing the cafe's layout.
The Lyttleton Terrace cafe will permanently offer take-away meal service.
Mr Goodson, formerly of the Old Boundary Hotel, hopes to eventually branch out to a second, eat-in Crooked Kitchen cafe.
The Lyttleton Terrace site is otherwise expected to maintain the service and products customers have known and loved.
