Earlier this month the BASL was forced to cancel its senior season because of COVID-19 restrictions, but the under-18 based youth division will go ahead.
Traditionally played on Sundays as part of the senior schedule, the 2020 season will be largely played on Saturday afternoons, with one round later in the season to be played midweek on Wednesday, September 23.
14 rounds have been scheduled between July 25 and October 10.
Epsom, Golden City, Spring Gully and Strathdale have been joined by Castlemaine and Kyneton in the six-team competition.
In recent years, Castlemaine and Kyneton have only fielded junior teams in the BASL, with their senior teams competing in State League divisions in Melbourne.
With competitions in Melbourne cancelled, Castlemaine and Kyneton have entered youth teams in the BASL to help boost a competition that is without representation from Colts United, Eaglehawk, Moama-Echuca, Shepparton, Shepparton South, Shepparton United, Swan Hill and Tatura.
The quality of the youth division has been bolstered by the return to club soccer of several Bendigo City NPL players.
The 2020 season starts with Strathdale travelling down the Calder to tackle Kyneton, Epsom is at home Golden City and Spring Gully hosts Castlemaine.
The games at Kyneton and Epsom are scheduled to start at 1.50pm on Saturday, while the clash at Stanley Avenue is a 3pm kick-off.
