She is in a serious but stable condition after falling at a property just outside Marong.
The woman has chest injuries, Ambulance Victoria has confirmed.
Paramedics were called at about 12.30pm to the incident.
They called for Marong's SES crew to attend.
More news:
It is not clear if they were needed because the woman was trapped, because the crew has specialist equipment to help move people across inaccessible terrain or simply because paramedics needed more pairs of hands to move her.
The SES crew has since returned to its station.
The woman was then moved to Maiden Gully, where an air ambulance landed.
The air ambulance is understood to be leaving for Melbourne now.
