POLICE have urged Bendigo drivers to slow down and be safe after nabbing three vehicles speeding along a suburban road in 15 minutes.

Members of a Bendigo divisional van crew detected three drivers exceeding the 60-kilometre speed limit on Allingham Street in Golden Square while on road policing duties this weekend.
The three speeds ranged from 16 to 21 kilometres per hour over the speed limit.
Each driver received a $330 fine and three demerit points

Responding to an unrelated crash on Sunday morning, Bendigo Acting Sergeant Anthony Johnson urged drivers not to get complacent and to concentrate on what they were doing.
"We just need drivers to be aware of the conditions and be aware of what other drivers might be doing," he said.
"Take care, slow down - another couple of seconds on your trip's not going to hurt."
