POLICE are investigating this morning's collision, which left a 55-year-old pedestrian in hospital with serious upper body injuries.
The Bendigo Highway Patrol is calling for anyone with dash cam footage of the crash to contact them at the Bendigo police station.
They were called to the Quarry Hill intersection this morning at about 8.30am.
Leading Senior Constable Peter Dyer said a 73-year-old woman in a Honda hatchback had collided with the pedestrian.
"Sun glare is one of the factors we are investigating," he said.
LSC Dyer said officers were still considering whether there were any other factors and had not laid any changes.
He said the crash was a timely reminder to people to be careful on certain roads at this time of year, saying the angle of the sun could create glare on certain roads.
"People need to modify how they drive if they are driving into the sun, LSC Dyer said.
He recommended people slowing down, changing their position in their lane, shielding their face with their hand or modifying their head position.

THE person taken to hospital this morning was aged in her 50s, Ambulance Victoria has confirmed.
