The cinema's business manager Martin Myles said the team was excited to re-open after closing in March due to coronavirus restrictions.
"It came out of the blue in a way, we weren't expecting an announcement so soon," he said. "It will be so great to be open and able to be financially viable when we do."
Mr Myles said he hoped to make the cinema-going experience as normal as possible but said there would be some changes.
"We have to make people safe and comfortable," he said. "We will look at cashless transactions, we have the wonderful ability of being able to move furniture and have a seating plan at safe (social) distancing. (It) will be as normal a cinema experience as we can muster."
The cinema is yet to confirm what films it will screen but said it wasn't reliant on blockbusters to create a program.
"We're in a better position than multiplexes who rely on big blockbusters and franchises," he said. "(Our program manager) is trying to preserve as much of the April program as possible. Some of the content has gone to on demand (streaming), so she's working with distributors to put on great program. We're hoping for something special for our first night."
Mr Myles said the cinema has kept in touch with the community and is expecting the limited seating of 50 to fill quickly for each session.
"We're hoping we can change in the near future. We can fit 80 to 100 easily and we're up to our closure," he said.
"If we reach that maximum of 50 people each, we'll be in a good position. Being one of few entertainment or cultural outlets available, our only concern is how we might manage the disappointment in having to cap the number of people.
"Usually we have a 7pm session every night, a 1pm screening on Friday and 1pm and 4pm screenings on Saturday and Sunday. Initial discussions are around reducing our sessions to 10 each week (down from 12) but we think with responsible programming, we will be able to go to a normal 12 screenings a week and allow sufficient time between screenings to clean."
