It's a welcome step in the right direction and we look forward to many other businesses returning in some way, shape or form in coming days and weeks.
This business remains firmly committed to championing the cause of industry and the return to whatever the new norm is to be for us all.
Every business that gets back to work means more people returning to work, and importantly, more opportunities for the rest of us to support another local business and its staff.
Throughout the past couple of months, as the economic impacts of the pandemic hit home and more and more shops, cafes, restaurants, gyms and offices were forced to close, we have all been steadfast in wanting to help one another.
Innovation became a necessity - and more of us were forced to work from home and find new ways to go about what we've always done, while sadly, too many central Victorians were left with no other option but to join the jobless queue.
Our community's recovery from COVID-19 needs to be just that.
It will take all of us, and it will take a long time, but what we started together we must continue.
In coming days and weeks, there will be further opportunities for local businesses to tell the community their plans. When they will be back and how they plan to tackle the inevitable challenges that lie ahead.
Tonight, our Facebook page welcomes feedback from any business who wants to share where they are at. From 6pm, for an hour, we'd love to hear how the economic recovery is panning out for everyone, and how you've coped over the past couple of months.
If it helps your business, it might help others too, and the journey back to better times is likely to be one of many small but important steps, and hopefully all in the right direction.
