Be.Bendigo has been fielding calls from people unsure if hard to find businesses were operating.
Chief executive Dennis Bice is also urging businesses to join the Localised Central Victoria web platform after many reported being unable to find suppliers.
"We have great local businesses but sometimes they lack visibility," he said.
"You don't need to order from Melbourne, interstate or internationally, we have so much to offer right here."
The online business directory and networking site is free to use.
"Localised Central Victoria covers Greater Bendigo, Central Goldfields, Mount Alexander and the Macedon Ranges, so it can connect people and business that may not live in the same town, but have the necessary service not far away," Mr Bice said.
