Joanne Barbara Gregor, 46, pleaded guilty in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Monday.
The court heard about 6.30pm on September 3 last year, police intercepted Gregor while she was driving on Strickland Road in East Bendigo.
Police checked her drivers' licence and found it had been suspended in July 2019 for a period of six months.
Officers also conducted an oral fluid test which showed Gregor had tested positive for methamphetamine.
The court heard Gregor told police she had taken the drug, speed.
Gregor's defence lawyer told the court Gregor had taken responsibility for her offences and had made steps towards addressing her behaviour.
The court heard Gregor completed a drink and drug driving course in October last year.
Police made an application to impound Gregor's car, but Magistrate Rodney Higgins refused the application.
Mr Higgins instead convicted Gregor and fined her $750. Her licence was cancelled and she was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
