The eight-year-old gelding notched up back-to-back wins with his ultra-impressive NR 56 to 65 victory at Lord's Raceway on Monday night.
It continued a solid month for the son of Mr Aviator and Ramleighs Love under the new regional racing model, which has produced a pair of seconds followed by two-straight wins.
Ace Duigan was one of four horses at Monday night's meeting to go back-to-back.
The others were the Ross Graham-trained Nephew Of Sonoko, who again blitzed the field in the fast class race of the night, the Glenn Douglas-trained and driven Clarenden Dazzler, and the Kate Hargreaves-trained Wicked Azz.
Mannix praised young Heathcote reinswoman Shannon O'Sullivan for her aggressive drive aboard Ace Duigan, who raced well clear in the straight to beat The High Roller by nine metres, with Belittled a half a metre back in third.
"He has always been a nice horse and had gate speed - he was a track record holder back four years ago at Echuca," he said.
"He missed nearly three years of racing after that, he broke down once and was out for 16 months, then he bled last year, a week after he had won in Bendigo.
"Shannon is driving him well. (Monday) night was a good win, and last week was an even better one.
"Even though there are not many people at the racetrack, the reaction was great.
"A couple of people have said to me that they love to watch him race, as he likes to run along and he makes the race exciting."
Ace Duigan is owned and bred by Mannix, together with his wife Gail and son Daniel.
His career record now stands at 11 wins and 26 minor placings for earnings of nearly $74,000.
A delighted Mannix is hopeful more than confident of the gelding making it three wins on the trot, but that won't stop him from daring to dream.
"You don't know, with the ratings, we can only keep going up in class," he said.
"To be honest, I don't think it will hurt him going up in class, the other horses will run along and the faster they go the more it helps him.
"I can say, I have never known him to be tailed off in a race, or finish way back, unless he's broken down.
"There's no doubt about it, he's a nice horse, you only have to look at his times this time in.
"He ran third at Kilmore (on March 19), but we couldn't do much about it, we were stuck behind a dying leader and it was a track record."
