A bill passed in state Parliament last week gave councils the green light to meet electronically, in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
The new legislation amends the Local Government Act 2020 to allow virtual meetings for local councils.
The Local Government Act previously required councils to meet in person.
Council's April 15 meeting was postponed because of the stay at home directive issued by the government.
On April 6, Mayor Margaret O'Rourke said that all agenda items at the April 15 meeting will be held over for a future Council meeting.
The March 18 council meeting took place with reduced public seating.
Cr O'Rourke says she is looking forward to using technology to meet with her fellow councillors in May.
"It will be a different way of meeting but the good news is that we can meet and continue to fulfil our decision making role during this time," Cr O'Rourke said.
Following the May 20 meeting, council intends to fall back into its usual meeting cycle.
Public question time will be limited to written questions only, to be received no later than May 5.
Public questions will be read out and answered by the Mayor.
