MARONG co-coach Taylor Beard is imploring his players to "keep their eyes on the prize", no matter how hard that may be at the moment with the uncertainty surrounding a 2020 football season.
All training and club activities remain on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic and there are no definitive dates yet on when - or if - football-netball will start in 2020.
Under normal circumstances Beard and the Panthers would have been preparing for a Sunday game this weekend against Pyramid Hill - one of the season's flag favourites - in round three of the Loddon Valley league.
"At the moment we've got to make sure we're keeping our eyes on the prize, whatever that may be this year, and make sure we're doing enough without overdoing it," Beard said this week.

"It's obviously a challenging situation not knowing what's happening as far as a season and not being able to train.
"We've got small groups of four to six with a leader and we have weekly fitness-based programs for the players to do individually and the leader checks back in with us.
"We're making sure we try to keep a bit of fun and banter among the group to keep the players engaged.
"I'm sure every coach is in the same boat of trying to find ways to keep their players fit.
"I know personally it's a lot harder getting home from work and going for a run on your own as opposed to doing it with 30 mates at training."
Meanwhile, while there are no games on at the moment, the Panthers made a solid start the Addy Iso-Season last weekend, defeating Maiden Gully YCW by 30 points.
The Panthers have a massive test this Saturday though when they come up against Bridgewater, which is coming off a round one bye.
