Forest Fire Management Victoria and CFA will help carry the 12-hectare burn at Woolshed Swamp about six kilometres south of Boort between April 22 and April 29. Nearby residents in Boot and Mysia may see smoke from the burn until May 6.
Smoke may lower the visibility on surrounding roads making it hazardous. Drivers are encouraged to drive to conditions and obey all traffic signs and instructions from fire agency crews near the burn.
Anyone experiencing any symptoms related to smoke exposure should seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024.
