BENDIGO Health has urged the community to keep up their efforts to stay at home as Easter approaches.

Chief executive Peter Faulkner said Bendigo Health took steady prevalence of disease in the community as a sign people were doing the right thing.
Mr Faulkner thanked the community for taking personal responsibility for distancing, cleanliness and isolating.
Chief Medical Officer Diana Badcock asked Bendigo residents to help hospital staff save lives, by staying still.
"This Easter we are asking you to stay still. Stay still physically, to not put yourself at risk, of high risk activities, such as climbing up a ladder. Stay still mentally to find a place of calm," Dr Badcock said.
"These things too will then help us save lives. Save lives for your family, your friends, and the healthcare workers do.
"So Bendigo what we're asking you to do is to get back to basics, enjoy the simple things in life, and when you do want to connect with people, friends and family, to do this through social media and social distancing. Please stay home Bendigo this Easter."
Mr Faulkner said some people who should be accessing health services were delaying it, as a consequence of the social distancing.
He urged anyone with a chronic illness to stay in contact with their general practitioner, and not allow their condition to deteriorate.
"GPs are in full operation, they're doing consultation by telephone," Mr Faulkner said.
"We'd really encourage people if they're not feeling well, if they're trying to manage their chronic disease to contact their GP. They shouldn't hesitate to do that."
