Bendigo SES was called out to assess a sinkhole on Saturday afternoon in Ironbark.
At about 3:40pm crews arrives at Marong Road to find a two metre diameter sink hole that was four metres deep opposite Victoria Hill Diggings.
It was a busy weekend for emergency services with a house fire engulfing a property in Longlea on Saturday morning.
Four CFA crews were called at 5.10am to find a house alight.
Ambulance Victoria attended the scene to treat one woman who was taken to Bendigo Hospital in a stable condition.
47.2 millimetres of rain fell in Bendigo during a 24 hour period between last Friday and Saturday.
The deluge resulted in Bendigo's wettest day since February 5, 2011.
It was also the wettest April day on record since the gauge shifted to Bendigo Airport in 1992.
Localised flash flooding across Greater Bendigo led to a number of calls for assistance to Bendigo's SES.
