University of Melbourne mechatronics senior lecturer Dr Airlie Chapman will address attendees at the Zonta Club of Bendigo's International Women's Day Dinner on Tuesday.
A number of scholarships and awards will be presented, including Bendigo Zonta's Women of Achievement award.
The club has presented the award annually since 2016. Two central Victorian champions for non-violence, Julie Oberin and Margaret Singe, were named joint winners in 2019.
Organisers are expecting more than 200 people to attend the event, which is at the All Seasons Bendigo.
Women's Health Loddon Mallee is staging an International Women's Day free community breakfast at its Myers Street premises on Thursday.
The breakfast, which runs from 8am - 10am, has become an annual fixture during the week of International Women's Day.

Gannawarra Shire Council is hosting a free International Women's Day breakfast in Kerang.
The event, on March 6, will feature 2018 Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence alumna Kate Meade and Toni Kelly from Cohuna-based business AWMA Water Control Solutions.

March 8 is International Women's Day.
The day celebrates women's achievements and is a call for action on gender equality.
