For the talented Tigers teenager, the occasion arrived in Saturday's match against Geelong, on a ground she knows so well - Queen Elizabeth Oval.
Jacques has featured in plenty of big games on the QEO, both for the Thunder and in the NAB League Girls competition, and last season for the VFLW Tigers.
The clash against the Cats came on the grandest stage of them all in the AFLW.
Playing her fourth game for Richmond, Jacques proved more than up to the challenge with a sprightly game in the midfield, with seven possessions and an equal game-high six tackles, capped by a clever third-quarter goal.
The goal was the third of four consecutive six-pointers kicked by the Tigers in a stirring third-quarter revival and brought the crowd of 4906 to its feet, among them a large contingent of Jacques' family and friends.
"It was a great experience and it was on the end of Monique Conti's great repeat efforts," the Tigers youngster said.
"I think she had three efforts along that wing and I was rewarded in being on the end of her great work and managed to snag a little cheeky goal, which was really nice.
"I went over the top (with the celebration), but I was trying to lift the girls up.
"Our third quarter was fantastic. We played three quarters the way we like to play our football, but they got hold of us in the second quarter.
"But I am super, super proud of the girls this week. We are building and building and I think teams should be worried when they come up against us the rest of the season."
Jacques - originally from Heathcote - said she could find no greater role model among her team-mates than Conti, who happens to be her housemate.
The dual sporting code star, who played the bulk of the WNBL season with Melbourne Boomers, inspired the Tigers with a game-high 28 possessions and five tackles.
"To see how she goes about her preparation and recovery, she is an absolute superstar as a dual-code athlete," Jacques said.
"To see what she does, day-in and day-out, is absolutely amazing and it is really showing out on the field.
"She's had really strong games the last three weeks and (Saturday) she really showed what she was about."
Jacques, who was joined in the Tigers line-up by fellow former Thunder player Grace Campbell, described playing an AFLW game on home turf as one of the biggest thrills of her fledgling AFLW career.
"It's right up there with playing my first game in this amazing jumper - as I said during the week, the yellow and black is an absolute privilege to put on," she said.
"I was watching something of Joel Selwood, and he said when he came back here to Bendigo to play in the pre-season series a couple of years ago (in 2017), he really took it in because this is his grassroots and he didn't know whether he will ever play here (at the QEO) again.
"I don't know whether I will get to play here again, so I really have to soak it all in.
"I just love coming back to Bendigo and I know Gracie (Campbell) is the same.
"She had another ripper game, her intent on the footy is absolutely amazing.
"She's been a really big help for me these last couple of years, leading into today. I know getting back to Bendigo was really special for Gracie as well."
The Bendigo link extended to the Cats, whose winning line-up included Jordan Ivey, the daughter of four-time South Bendigo premiership player David Ivey.
Her Geelong team-mates included Anna Teague, who previously played SEABL basketball with Bendigo Braves.
