THE 2010s decade for Eaglehawk in the BFNL yielded one premiership from four grand final appearances.
The Hawks played off for the flag in 2011, 2017, 2018 and 2019, winning in 2018 with a 49-point victory over Strathfieldsaye coached by Josh Bowe.
The Hawks took on the Storm in a trilogy of grand finals to end the decade and certainly had their chances to win all three, not just 2018.
Eaglehawk led the Storm by 20 points at three quarter-time of the 2017 decider before conceding 9.1 to 0.3 in the last term to lose by 32 points.
And in last year's flag battle the Hawks had six more scoring shots, but kicked 10.20 and were beaten by 14 points.
As for the 2011 grand final, the Hawks were lambs to the slaughter against the unbeaten Golden Square and were thrashed by 135 points after kicking the first three goals of the game.
The Hawks featured in nine of the 10 finals series through the decade, missing out in only 2012 when they finished sixth.
Eaglehawk played the most finals games of any club for the decade with 25 for a 13-12 record and reached at least the preliminary final seven times.
The Hawks' total wins for the decade of 136 rank third behind Golden Square (153) and Strathfieldsaye (149), while they spent 137 of a possible 180 rounds in the top five.
As well as coaching the 2018 premiership, Bowe also won the decade's first Michelsen Medal in 2010 with 25 votes.
The Hawks' Brodie Filo also won a Michelsen Medal in 2015 with 17 votes.
Fellow midfielder Brodie Collins topped the Hawks' best player votes (six for being named best, five for second best and so on) for the decade with 283.
Collins featured among the Hawks' best players in 71 games after joining the club from LBU in 2012.
The Hawks' goalkicking for the decade was dominated by Matt Gretgrix, whose 570 ranked No.2 in the league behind Strathfieldsaye's Lachlan Sharp (655).
Gretgrix booted goals in 128 games for the Hawks during the decade, including eight bags of 10-plus.
