After winning the Dubai Desert Classic last month, the Neangar Park product has earned an invite to the European Tour and PGA Tour co-sanctioned WGC Mexico Championship.
The 72-man field includes a US$10.5 million purse and will see golf's best players with the likes of current world number one Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Abraham Ancer and defending champion Dustin Johnson.
"It's obviously one of the best fields that you're going to get for the year; there are not many players who are going to say no to a WGC event," Herbert told the RSN Breakfast Club.
"You're generally going to get the top 50 players in the world all there and it gives you a good chance to test your game against all those sorts of players."
This is just one of the perks of his win at Dubai, the victory earned him valuable Race to Dubai points which he currently sits in second on the standings behind Lee Westwood.
In addition to full European Tour status until the end of 2022.
In other Australian golf news, Adam Scott won his 14th PGA Tour win on Sunday at the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club.
Scott finished at 11 under-par, two strokes ahead of Scott Brown, Matt Kuchar and Kang Sung-hoon.
