More than 800 students and 120 staff decked out in the colours of the school's Aherne, Frew, Jenkin, Jones, Millward and Rileytook houses.
Students part in six swimming sports at the Faith Leech Aquatic Centre.
As well as vying for glory in the pool in the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, medley and relay competitions, there were a number of highlights outside the pool for the students.
The Spirit Cup saw houses compete in a synchronised war cry competition in an effort to excite and show pride in the houses.
It was all serious with a number of novelty races and contests ensuring fun and laughter for the whole day.
Novelty races included the lilo race and T-shirt race.
Contests included the Year 12 Synchronised Splash contest and the Synchronised Bomb involves four team mates entering the diving pool at the same time, from the diving boards and pool edges.
