A MAN has been charged on summons after police allegedly found him travelling at 47 kilometres over the speed limit in Long Gully.

Police detected the ute allegedly travelling at 107 kilometres per hour in a 60 zone on Inglis Street about 6.45pm on Friday.
The 44-year-old driver tested positive to a preliminary drug test at the scene. Police allege the vehicle also had false number plates.
