A BLISTERING century to Matt Giri set up a monster score for Arnold in its Upper Loddon Cricket Association match against Inglewood.
The reigning premier Redbacks scored at eight runs an over in crunching 4-281 off their 35 overs on Saturday, with Giri smacking 113 off 72 - his third ton in his past four hits.
Giri's past four innings now read 113, 21, 138 and 112 - a total of 384 runs.
The Arnold innings also included 70 from Cameron Dale, with he and Giri putting on 163 for the second wicket.
Giri alone outscored Inglewood, which was bowled out for 87 in reply.
* Wedderburn pulled off a big upset, thrashing Kingower by 130 runs.
With Josh White (71) and Chris Giolando (53) both making half-centuries, the seventh-placed Wedderburn cracked its highest score of the season, 5-232.
Wedderburn's Sam Barnes then took 4-4 off seven overs as Kingower, which was second on the ladder going into Saturday, was held to 7-102 in reply.
* And the top side was also beaten as Serpentine (6-165) upstaged Newbridge (8-148).
The 17-run defeat was just the second of the season for Newbridge.
* In the Northern United Cricket Association, Heathcote has again had the measure of ladder-leader Elmore.
Elmore has lost just two games this season, but both have been to Heathcote.
The Saints won a thriller by four runs, with their score of 116 just proving beyond the Redbacks (112).
The win was Heathcote's seventh in a row and featured a solid all-round game from Luke Bell (37 and 3-34).
* Goornong's Caileb Dickins (5-4) and Mitch Bennett (3-3) combined for 8-7 as the Mountain Goats (2-62) comfortably accounted for Calivil (58) by eight wickets.
* Colbinabbin (6-161) got over the line against Bagshot (8-157) by four wickets, winning with four balls to spare to keep hold of second position.
Colbinabbin's Brad Stewart (51) and Bagshot's Jordan Hamilton (53 n.o.) both made half-centuries.
