Festival co-director Chris Howlett said he has been blown away by the interest in the festival.
"The response for the festival has been amazing," Mr Howlett said.
There remains plenty of work to do before the first concert on Wednesday, February 5 though.
"There are a few long nights ahead of us working on the logistics.
"With all the elements starting to arrive like the programs, tshirts, sheet music and performers, it is starting to feel very real," Mr Howlett said.
A highlight of the five day festival will be a concert by members of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe on Friday, February 7.
Members of the chamber orchestra have arrived in Australia and are taking a few days to acclimatise and sightsee in Sydney.
Seven members of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe will combine for a performance focused on the styles they perform in concerts across the globe.
Mr Howlett's protegee, cellist Howard Penny, was crucial in securing the Chamber Orchestra of Europe's performance in Bendigo.
The Chamber Orchestra of Europe was established in the 1980s, with their Bendigo performance their first of what is hoped to be many on Australian soil.
Mr Penny has been associated with the orchestra since 1989.
Calling Austria home for 29 years, Mr Penny returned to Australia nine years ago, working as the Head of Strings at the Australian National Academy of Music in Melbourne.
Local acts will also have their chance to shine during the festival, with an afternoon concert on Saturday, February 8 featuring the Bendigo Chamber Choir alongside choirs from Melbourne and Adelaide to perform together at the Sacred Heart Cathedral.
In late November, half of all tickets sold were to people from Melbourne, with 39 per cent sold to interstate residents and the remainder to Bendigonians and regional Victorians.
With the festival imminent, the ticket sales have surged in Bendigo and its surrounds, with a number of concerts already sold out.
"The ticket sales are now almost evenly divided in three between those attending from Bendigo, Melbourne and regional Victoria and interstate or overseas," Mr Howlett said.
The Bendigo Chamber Music Festival takes place from Wednesday, February 5 to Sunday, February 9.
