WORKSAFE have confirmed the farmer who died at Baringhup West was working with a trailer's rear gate when it collapsed.
Police were called to the incident at about 11.50pm on Wednesday night.
The 51-year-old died while working on an empty semi-trailer on a property at Baringhup.
It's believed the man was working with the trailer's rear gate when it collapsed on top of him.
WorkSafe is investigating.

POLICE will prepare a report for the coroner after a man was found dead by emergency services last night on a property in Baringhup West.
Worksafe is also investigating the incident, which police were called to at about 11.50pm.
A 51-year-old man was dead at the scene but the exact cause and circumstances of the incident is yet to be confirmed.
Officers are not treating the death as suspicious, a Police Victoria spokesperson said.
