Jordan Augustine Tung, 21, pleaded guilty in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Monday to driving while disqualified in Strathdale on July 7 last year.
Tung had been disqualified from driving for six months on January 17, 2019 for failing a drug test, meaning he was only several days away from being able to ask for his licence back.
"It was a stupid decision on my behalf, I know my licence was suspended and I never should've gotten behind the wheel," Tung told the court.

Magistrate Bruce Cottrill told Tung his previous driving offences - which included drink-driving - aggravated this offending.
Mr Cottrill warned Tung he would go to jail if caught for similar crimes again.
He convicted Tung and fined him $1000.
Tung was banned from driving for a further three months.
