The truck driver allegedly involved in the deaths of a Bendigo woman and child in a collision near Kingston on Sunday has been remanded in custody.
Michael Knowler, 59, made no application for bail at the Ballarat Magistrates' Court on Monday.
He is charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death, one count of dangerous driving causing serious injury, and one count each of failing to give way and causing a collision that placed a person in danger of death and serious injury.
A 37-year-old woman and a five-year-old boy, both from Epsom, died in the crash near Creswick on Sunday.
Mr Knowler will return for a committal mention on April 30.
Magistrate Ron Saines declined to release names of the deceased, as family was still being contacted.
A nine-year-old child remains in a stable condition in the Royal Melbourne Hospital with facial injuries.
It was noted this is Mr Knowler's first time in custody.
