The forecast hot weather at the weekend has forced the Bendigo and District Cycling Club to change the schedule for its annual two-day Christmas Carnival.

With temperatures tipped to exceed 39 degrees on Saturday and Sunday, junior racing will now commence at 9am on both days instead of mid-afternoon.
There will be no racing in the afternoon, with senior racing scheduled to start from 6pm on each day at the Tom Flood Sports Centre.
The highlight of the Christmas Carnival is the Lindsay Harrington Memorial Wheelrace.
Heats of the 2000m handicap event will be on held on Saturday night, with the first four riders in each heat to advance directly to Sunday night's final.
Two repecharge heats will be held on Sunday night where the top four riders in each heat also advance to the final.
Last year's Lindsay Harrington Memorial Wheelrace was won by young gun Sam Gallagher, who was coming off a stunning win in the Austral Wheelrace.
The other highlight of Sunday night's racing is the final event of the carnival - the Victorian 10 Mile Motor Paced Championship.
On Saturday night, the final event on the track is the Bendigo and District Cycling Club Christmas Madison.
Isaac Buckell and Peta Mullens are among a strong squad of Bendigo riders who will compete over the weekend.
